CTC Calderdale Sunday rides  October 2011- March 2012

Martin Bird writes:

As last season rides lead by me will be morning rides, easy -going affairs, more likely to be under 30 miles (with cafe stop) and ideal for ‘new’ cyclists to sample our type of cycling.

Some cyclists leave the rides early who haven’t all day to ride.

·         Lunch at Alan Roadley’s 30 Oct, in aid of charity.( A good turnout will be appreciated, names needed).

·         Ride Out Christmas Lunch (18 Dec) - booking is essential for this popular event, contact Carol Hare.

·         Dave’s Cyclo Walkabout (22 Jan) is a leisurely paced ride that is very sociable.

·         Don’t forget the Annual General Meetings of CTC Calderdale (Fri 4 Nov) and CTC West Yorkshire (Sun 6 Nov).

Winter rides are generally shorter than the summer ones, being between 20 and 50 miles, partly dependent on the weather. The aim is to get back before dark, but it is advisable to take lights.
