The event forms part of the CTC West Yorkshire District Association Events Programme and is registered with the CTC Tourist Competition. There is an entry fee of £5.00 for members of Audax UK, CTC, or BCF. In order to obtain public liability cover, people who are not members of these organizations need to take out temporary membership of Audax UK. Full details are on the entry form.

The route covers approximately 203 km, taking you from the heart of West Yorkshire up to and through Wharfedale to climb Fleet Moss from the easier (less difficult) south side before returning through rural Lancashire. There is a minimum average speed required of 15 kph and a maximum of 25 kph.  Brief route details are as follows: -

Halifax - Keighley - Skipton - Kettlewell - Buckden – Fleet Moss – Hawes - Ribblehead - Settle - Wigglesworth - Waddington - Whalley - Padiham – Todmorden – Halifax
