Start: 8:00 am, Sunday 19 June 2011 at: Mytholmroyd Sports and Community Centre, Caldene Avenue, Mytholmroyd

ROUTE SHEET

This event forms part of the CTC West Yorkshire DA Events Programme and is registered with the District Associations Tourist Competition. The 202 km course has to be completed within 13 hours 30 minutes. There is an entry fee of £5.00

Starting at Mytholmroyd the event follows most of the second part of the 3 Coasts 600, going out to the second coast (the West) at Glasson Dock, and then to the third coast, situated at the "weighvers' seaport" of Hollingworth Lake, returning to base by way of England's longest continuous downhill road.

The event HQ at Mytholmroyd Sports and Community Centre, on Caldene Avenue, just off the A646 and approximately 1 mile from Hebden Bridge, has a large car park and is also easily accessible by rail (cycle-carrying trains stop hourly at Mytholmroyd from both Leeds and Manchester, and more frequently at Hebden Bridge).

Unusually for a 200, for those wanting to arrive at the HQ on Saturday night, the HQ will be open from approximately 7:00 pm and hopefully floor space for sleeping will be available. A continental-style breakfast will be available early on Sunday before the start. B&B charge is £4.00, and food and sleeping facilities will also be available at the HQ after the event on Sunday evening. It would be appreciated if anybody wanting to make use of these facilities would let me know.

There is also a Youth Hostel (01706 812340) at Mankinholes, approximately 5 miles away. The Tourist Information Offices in Halifax (01422 368725) and Hebden Bridge (01422 843831) may be able to provide details of more up-market accommodation in the area.
