Halifax CTC presents:A hilly 110 kilometre ride from Hebden Bridge, into the Yorkshire Dales, with a generous time limit based on a minimum speed of 12 kph and a maximum of 24 kph. The route has been slightly revised to use some different roads around the Bolton Abbey area. SHEET: Word (*.doc) format ****NEW*** GPS Please note that there is no space for car parking at the start. There are other car parks close by in Hebden Bridge, although there is pressure on space in this tourist town. Some of the car parks now only allow 3 or 4 hours parking. The car parks at Garden Street, Market Place, New Road, and Garden Square all offer unrestricted parking. If arriving by car, you could park outside town and ride in, but whatever you choose to do, please be sure to allow time to find a space and to get to the event HQ in plenty of time for the start. The
event forms part of the CTC West Yorkshire DA Events Programme and is
registered with the District Associations Tourist Competition. There is an
entry fee of £3.50 for members of Audax UK, CTC, or BCF. In order to
obtain public liability cover, people who are not members of these
organizations need to take out temporary membership of Audax UK. Full
details are on the entry form. The route covers approximately 110km, taking you from
the heart of West Yorkshire into the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales, and
back again, with a generous time allowance for completion. There is a
minimum average speed required of 12 kph and a maximum of 24 kph, giving
an upper time limit of 9 hours 10 minutes for completion. Brief route details are as follows: - Hebden Bridge - Oxenhope - Stanbury - Laneshaw Bridge
- Earby – West Marton – Gargrave - Cracoe – Burnsall – Bolton
Abbey - Halton East - Draughton - Silsden - Keighley - Oxenhope – Hebden Bridge. (OS

intending to take part who requires accommodation in the area either
before or after the event should contact the Tourist Information Office in
Hebden Bridge (01422 843831). There is also a Youth Hostel at Mankinholes
