ROUTE SHEET - Updated 2 May 2011 Word (*.doc) format 403
km Start: 5:30 am, Saturday 18 June 2011 at Mytholmroyd Community Centre, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire (just off the A646). The Spurn Head 400 offers riders the chance to visit a part of Yorkshire which is truly unique, and which may well soon be reclaimed by the North Sea (but hopefully not too soon). There is also the chance to spend time in some of the less visited parts of the East Riding. This event forms part of the CTC West Yorkshire DA Events Programme and is registered with the CTC Tourist Trophy Competition and Brevet de Randonneurs Mondiaux. The second running of this event this year is not a qualifying event for Paris-Brest-Paris 2011 as it falls outside the qualifying date window. The 400 km course has to be completed within 27 hours. There is an entry fee of £8.00. This event returns to its customary headquarters at Mytholmroyd Community Centre, Caldene Avenue, Mytholmroyd where floor sleeping will be available before and after the ride, including breakfast. A small charge will be made for this and details will be sent out with acknowledgement of entries. Mytholmroyd is easily accessible by rail (cycle-carrying trains from both Leeds and Manchester stop every hour and much more frequently at Hebden Bridge, about a mile away). There is also plenty of space for car parking available at the Community Centre. There is also a Youth Hostel (01706 812340) at Mankinholes, approximately 5 miles away, and a Travelodge in Halifax , about 6 miles away. The Tourist Information Office in Hebden Bridge (01422 843831) may be able to provide details of more up-market accommodation in the area. If
you have any questions, please ask.
